My name is Kristen Oaks, and I am originally from a small town outside of Monroe, Louisiana. I grew up on a large farm and agriculture has always been a very influential facet of my life.
My strong agriculture background helped me decide to double major in Agriculture and Broadcast Journalism. I will graduate in May of 2009 from Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication.
In the summer of 2008, I interned for the news department at Baton Rouge’s WBRZ Channel 2. In 2008 I also reported for LSU’s Tiger Television.
